NEUROLOGICAL

Rheumatological Rehabilitation

This type of rehabilitation treats autoimmune and degenerative pathologies, which involve the musculoskeletal system. The most common are arthritis, arthrosis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia and scleroderma. These pathologies affect both men and women of all ages. They are characterized by pain or possible musculoskeletal deformities, accompanied in some cases by possible organ problems.

  • Herniated Disc

  • Sciatica

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (numbness of the fingers)

  • Tennis Elbow

  • Spondylarthrosis

  • Cervical pain (restriction of neck movement)

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis (joint pain)

Neurological Rehabilitation

This branch of rehabilitation medicine deals with the recovery of deficits and disabilities caused by neurological diseases. The most common neurological diseases include brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, cerebrovascular accidents or spinal cord injuries as well as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. In these cases, the rehabilitation process takes on essential importance as it aims to help patients regain their physical, mental and psychological autonomy.

  • Plegia (total lack of movement)

  • Cerebral Injuries

  • Facial Palsy

  • Balance, Coordination and Movement Problems

Pediatric Rehabilitation

Pediatric treatment is related to severe disabilities in young patients who have health consequences as a result of neurosurgical interventions, complex orthopedic-functional operations or who suffer from serious scoliosis pathologies. Treatment and rehabilitation of patients, as well as training of family members, constitute essential aspects of care for the restoration of total health.

  • Brachial Plexus (group of nerves in the arm that leads to paresis or paralysis)

  • Torticollis (wry neck)

  • Infantile Cerebral Palsy

Orthopedic-Traumatological Diagnosis

Physiotherapy plays an essential role in rehabilitation after trauma to the musculoskeletal system as well as for rehabilitation after orthopedic surgical interventions. Through specific physical therapies and following appropriate protocols of therapeutic exercises with increasing difficulty, the physiotherapist helps the patient manage pain after surgeries or after various traumas and recover motor skills, which may have been compromised by trauma.

Scoliosis (distortion/deformation of the spine)

  • Hyperlordosis

  • Hyperkyphosis

  • Fracture

  • Post-Operative Rehabilitation

  • Frozen Shoulder

  • Tendinitis (inflammation of the tendons)

Geriatric Rehabilitation

This rehabilitation aims to recover lost or damaged motor skills in elderly patients, both due to age-related factors and pathologies that have reduced or completely eliminated motor functions. Possible problems that arise are related to physiological deconditioning, damage from cardiovascular and osteo-articular problems.

  • Osteoporosis

  • Arthritis

  • Parkinson's disease

  • Alzheimer's

  • Lymphatic drainage (improvement of lymph circulation)

Postural Reeducation

(correct posture education)

Postural reeducation is a rehabilitation technique that allows to rebalance musculoskeletal changes. Thanks to guided, active and passive postures, muscle spasms and contractions, joint dysfunctions and spinal movements can be treated and resolved.

Through postural reeducation and muscle stretching, physical problems are treated with the aim of rebalancing the overall body, recovering physical well-being without pain.

Therapeutic Massage

Massage is a manual technique used to reduce and heal tension in the muscles of the body. The treatment works by using the technique of applying deep pressure to the muscles and connective tissues. Some of the forms of therapeutic massage used in our clinic include:

  • Full Therapeutic Massage (45/60 minutes)

  • Sports Massage

  • Relaxation Massage
